To be sure Flonase is not causing harmful effects on your nose or sinuses, your doctor will need to check your progress on a regular basis. Do not miss any scheduled visits to your doctor.

Flonase side effects that may go away during treatment, include sneezing, stuffy nose, or an unpleasant taste or smell. If they continue or are bothersome, check with your doctor. Contact your doctor AS SOON AS POSSIBLE if you experience nosebleeds or nose or throat pain. IF YOU EXPERIENCE difficulty breathing; tightness of chest; swelling of eyelids, face, or lips, or if you develop a rash or hives, notify your doctor immediately. Do not take any more doses of Flonase unless your doctor tells you to do so. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist.
The effects of Flonase during pregnancy have not been adequately studied. If you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant, inform your doctor immediately. It is not known whether fluticasone appears in breast milk. If the drug is essential to your health, your doctor may advise you to stop nursing until your treatment is finished.
