As she grows stronger, Sailor Uranus gains additional powers, and at key points her uniform changes to reflect this. The first change takes place in Act 39 of the manga, when she obtains the Uranus Crystal and her outfit becomes similar to that of Super Sailor Moon. She is not given a new title. A similar event takes place in Episode 167 of the anime, and she is given the name Super Sailor Uranus. A third, manga-only form appears in Act 42... unnamed but analogous to Eternal Sailor Moon (sans wings).[12]

As Uranus spins about its axis, material near the planet’s equator must travel farther to make one rotation than material near the poles must travel. This equatorial material must then move faster than material at the poles. All material has inertia (the tendency of a moving mass to continue moving in a straight line), and this property makes the fast-moving material near the equator want to fly off from the planet in a straight line. The rest of the planet’s mass gravitationally attracts the material and keeps it glued to the planet, but the material’s inertia makes the planet bulge out at the equator. The bulge around the equator of Uranus is about 2 percent of the radius, or about 500 km (about 300 mi).

Uranus is more difficult to find, which is why it wasn’t discovered until the late seventeen hundreds. You need to have a star chart and telescope, as Uranus is 6th magnitude at brightest, which is only just bright enough to be seen naked eye. Even then though, it will just look like a pinprick of light, and you should have a chart to make sure you are looking at the right pinprick. Uranus has at least 15 known satellites, most of them found when Voyager 2 flew by in 1986. One of the moons, Miranda, looks like it had a troubled past, and the jumbled surface suggests it may have been blown apart then came back together again, possibly in a collision that ... knocked Uranus on its side.

Most Greeks considered Uranus to be primordial (protogenos), and gave him no parentage. Under the influence of the philosophers Cicero, in De Natura Deorum ("The Nature of the Gods"), claims that he was the offspring of the ancient gods Aether and Hemera, Air and Day. According to the Orphic Hymns, Ouranos was the son of the personification of night, Nyx.

Because of its great size and mass, scientists classify Uranus as one of the giant or Jovian (Jupiter-like) planets—along with Jupiter, Saturn, and Neptune. Like more distant Neptune, Uranus is ... classified as an ice giant planet, mainly made of the ice-forming molecules water, ammonia, and methane as a liquid mixture above what is thought to be a rocky core. Its atmosphere is mainly hydrogen and helium, along with methane gas that gives the planet a blue-green color.

Sailor Uranus's transformation sequence involves her creating a golden energy circle which encloses around her, forming her outfit. She is shown de-transforming in episode 115--her outfit becomes flower petals as she walks away, leaving her nude for a moment before her normal clothes reappear.
